Bug/Rodent Infestation
We will not clean carpet in a home or facility that has an obvious bug or rodent infestation: bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, lice, mice, rats, etc. If your home or facility has an infestation of any sort, please cancel and reschedule with us when your home or facility has been treated and cleared by a professional extermination service.
Credit/Debit/Invoice Fee
Payment is due at the time of service. Commercial clients with established relationships can be invoiced. Acceptable payments include check, cash, or credit/debit card payments.

Slip & Trip Hazards
Please be careful not to slip when walking from recently cleaned carpet or rugs to hard surfaces. We are not responsible for injuries that might result from slip hazards. You understand we will have several hoses, both large and small, running throughout your home or facility during the cleaning service. We are not responsible for injuries that might result from our hoses, equipment, or misplaced furniture being in a walkway.
Moving Furniture
We do not move beds, dressers, china cabinets, hutches, entertainment centers, televisions, sectional sofas, desks, appliances, or other large or fragile items.
At our discretion, we may move light furniture such as chairs, recliners, loveseats, coffee tables, and end tables to facilitate cleaning. When furniture is moved, we use protective tabs or foam blocks to help protect both the carpet and furniture legs during the drying process.
For safety reasons, customers are encouraged to move any furniture or personal belongings they would like cleaned beneath prior to our arrival. While we take reasonable precautions when moving furniture, Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning is not responsible for damage to furniture, electronics, flooring, walls, or other property resulting from moving furniture before, during, or after service.

Pet Odors & House Pets
Pet urine is an issue of the carpet, pad, and subfloor. Cleaning the carpetsβ surface will not remove pet odors that have penetrated through the carpet backing. We typically do not guarantee complete odor or stain removal results. We will be running equipment in your home, which requires entering and exiting during service. Please place your pet(s) in a crate, bathroom, or safe location where they will not escape out of the open door. We are not responsible for lost pets or their whereabouts during the service.
Traffic Lanes & Black Sole Shoe Stains
Traffic lanes can result from fiber wear, black sole shoe transfer, asphalt tracking, pH discoloration, and embedded soils. While we may improve their appearance, we cannot guarantee complete removal.

Dry Time
Several factors affect dry time: moisture level, humidity, air movement, and carpet thickness. Dirtier carpet requires increased water usage, which adds to dry time. The average dry time is 6β8 hours, although some carpets may require additional drying time depending on conditions.
Spots & Stains
During our pre-inspection, please point out any spots or stains that concern you. In many cases, spots can be removed through the normal carpet cleaning process, so we recommend cleaning the carpet first before determining whether additional stain treatment is needed.
Any discoloration, residue, or marking that remains after cleaning may require specialized stain removal procedures, which are billed separately. Please note that some stains are permanent and may not respond to cleaning or stain removal treatments.
Permanent Stains
We cannot fully remove paint stains, varnish, black shoe sole stains, filtration stains along the baseboards, dyes, inks, rust, burn stains, or any substance that is known to cause permanent staining. If we do attempt to remove such stains, we do not guarantee complete removal or satisfaction.
Color loss, bleach spots, dye damage, and discoloration caused by pet urine, household chemicals, or previous cleaning attempts are permanent conditions and cannot be corrected through carpet cleaning. We are not responsible for pre-existing color loss or discoloration.
Hair
Hair can become tightly embedded within carpet fibers and backing materials, making complete removal difficult. Additional vacuuming after cleaning may be necessary.

Dark Lines at the Baseboard
Filtration stains are dark lines around the perimeter of your carpet at the baseboard. These are caused by air filtering into the walls at the baseboard typically from gas heat, candles, and gas appliances. These stains consist of fine particles that embed themselves into the carpet fiber. Attempting to remove filtration stains results in an insignificant change; therefore, we do not offer filtration stain removal.

Wicking (Reappearing Spots)
Certain spots and spills may wick, or reappear, as the carpet dries. Applying carpet protector after cleaning may help reduce wicking. If you do not purchase carpet protection, we are not responsible for spots that may return during the drying process.

Normal Wear and Tear
While we take every precaution to care for your home, we are not responsible for normal wear and tear such as minor scratches, dents, and scuffs that might result from service. We do use corner guards to help prevent excessive wear on corners.

Personal Items & Items of Value
Prior to our arrival, please have your personal items as well as items of value appropriately stored away. Items left on the floor may limit our ability to clean those areas.
Personal Property
Please have small furniture and personal items such as magazines, clothing, kidβs toys, shoes, etc., off the floor unless you do not want the carpet cleaned beneath such items.

Carpet Cleaning Results
Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning provides professional carpet cleaning services designed to remove soil, improve appearance, and promote a healthier indoor environment. While we use industry-approved cleaning methods and make every reasonable effort to achieve the best possible results, no carpet cleaning company can guarantee the complete removal of all spots, stains, odors, discoloration, or wear-related conditions.
Carpet cleaning may reveal pre-existing conditions that were previously concealed by accumulated soil or traffic patterns. These conditions may include permanent staining, discoloration, filtration soil, traffic lane wear, carpet wrinkles, ripples, seam separation, loose carpet, pet urine contamination, bleach spots, dye stains, rust stains, and other installation, age-related, or maintenance-related issues. These conditions are not caused by the cleaning process.
Please do not place wood or metal furniture directly on damp carpet. Protective tabs or blocks should remain in place until the carpet is completely dry to help prevent rust stains, finish transfer, or damage to furniture.
Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning is not responsible for permanent staining, recurring odors, pet contamination, filtration soil, carpet defects, installation defects, normal wear and tear, or conditions that become more noticeable following cleaning. Our responsibility is limited to providing professional cleaning services using reasonable care and accepted industry practices.
Carpet cleaning is a maintenance service, not a repair or restoration service. Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning is responsible only for providing professional cleaning services using reasonable care and accepted industry practices. We do not assume responsibility for pre-existing conditions, permanent staining, odors, discoloration, carpet defects, installation defects, wear and tear, or conditions that do not respond to cleaning.

The inability to remove a stain, odor, discoloration, traffic lane, filtration line, pet contamination, or other pre-existing condition does not constitute improper workmanship or a failure to perform the cleaning service.

Vacant or Unchaperoned Homes or Facilities
As the owner, landlord, tenant, or authorized agent of the property, by authorizing service without your presence, you acknowledge that questions regarding pre-existing conditions, cleaning expectations, access, and service concerns may be more difficult to address after the completion of the work. Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning will make every reasonable effort to provide quality service and document any notable conditions observed during the cleaning process.
Honest Pricing
We charge a flat-rate price per square foot for wall-to-wall carpet cleaning and $75β$85 per residential staircase. We do our best to provide accurate estimates when scheduling over the phone; however, final pricing may vary based on the actual size and condition of the areas to be cleaned.
Special pricing, discounts, promotions, and package rates are offered as a courtesy and do not guarantee specific cleaning results. Additional services requested after the original work order may be subject to additional charges.

**Pre-Existing Conditions**
Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning is not responsible for pre-existing conditions including but not limited to loose seams, carpet wrinkles, delamination, frayed edges, buckling, carpet transitions, damaged tack strips, loose baseboards, weakened fibers, previous repairs, water damage, pet damage, or installation defects. Cleaning may make some pre-existing conditions more noticeable.
Furniture Staining and Finish Transfer
Wood furniture, metal furniture, and furniture with damaged finishes may transfer stains, rust, dyes, or wood tannins onto damp carpet. Protective tabs and blocks are provided as a courtesy; however, Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning is not responsible for staining, rust transfer, finish transfer, or furniture-related damage resulting from furniture being placed on damp carpet.

Limitation of Liability
In the unlikely event that Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning is found liable for any claim arising from the services provided, our liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific services performed. Under no circumstances shall Pacific Steam Carpet Cleaning be liable for consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or punitive damages.
